My sister's house update

My sister sold her home in Amarillo in three weeks. She and her husband did such a great job on the remodel that I knew it wouldn't take long. Initially, they wanted to move out to the country to raise chickens and goats. When gas got to $4/gallon, they decided to adjust their thinking, so now they're downsizing and moving closer to the center of Amarillo. I have no doubt their new house will look really, really cute when they're finished with it. Here are a few before pics...

She and her husband have definite plans for the two baths and kitchen. And I know they want to paint the brick yellow. Won't that be cute? Makes me think that once my kids are gone, perhaps Chris and I should downsize and find a little cottage in the city. On the other hand, we enjoy entertaining so much, it's nice to have a lot of living space. We'll see...

Lee's new house is great!

Sandra, I think your current home is perfect for life, but it's fun to dream and imagine, isn't it?

Ohhh that is cutie for sure. I will have to read that book about the dust bowl. One of my fave books...although fiction is John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath...powerful story about the depression and the dust bowl. cherry
