Making the Case

I apologize for my absenteeism on my blog lately. I could give you a really good story as to why I haven't been around, but the honest truth is, I've become a Facebook junkie. In fact, if you're on Facebook and would like to be my FB friend, feel free to send me a friend request. If you're not on Facebook, I guarantee you, lots of your friends and former classmates are. And if you're afraid you'll become addicted to it as I have, it's only as addicting as you allow it to be. :-)

I have several things in store for the blog this spring, including a personal tour of the most expensive home on the Austin market. I think that post will be up right around the first part of April. If you're in the Austin area, or even if you aren't, and would like to have your own personal tour, there will be a high-end cocktail reception with all proceeds benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I'll keep you posted.

On to today's post... I see a lot of blog posts and magazine articles that feature items from Urban Outfitters. Until recently, I've never really looked that much at what they have to offer. One of the things that intrigues me is their line of decorated pillowcases.

I have an all-white bedroom. I love it, but every now and then, I contemplate injecting a little color or whimsy. The following pillowcases from Urban Outfitters might do just the trick. And they're only $24 a pair.

Can't you see any one of those sets of pillowcases in a room like this?

Very cool and hip pillowcases! However, I'm not hip and cool! I love the photo of the serene bedroom!
I've heard of Facebook, but never ventured there, and maybe that's a good thing?!!
Nice to see you back! j.

Those are some "loud" pillows. I'm not sure if I'd sleep soundly or not with those under my head. I'll have to go and check out some of their other items. I hear some folks have used their bed covers for wall hangings, etc. We'll see.

I love the ones with the NY skyline! I'll have to check out their website, I've never shopped there.

Wow! I'd have to agree with love of a house, here. Very cool, but I am not cool. I'm a thirty year old married Christian with five kids living in a "cottage" in the desert. These pillows look like they belong to a young modern yuppie living in a loft in NY city. I've been hearing a lot about Facebook lately. It seems everyone is abondoning Myspace for Facebook. I don't have a Myspace account anymore, but I was wondering what makes Facebook so appealing? Don't worry about not posting on your blog for a while. It is nice to have a little break for yourself once in a while. :)

I bought the "eye" cases for my daughter. She loves U.O. I like the last room as is though!
I took you up on the offer and sent you a friends request.

I love the pillowcase with the big M but the one with the eyes creeps me out! I don't think I could sleep on a big eye! Those are fun though!

Great post, Sandra.

I am on facebook, thanks to Miss Xanti. I'm in and out now and then. I don't think there are enough hours in the day to do all I'd like to do!! I'm still going to the new GI once in awhile and I keep up with another board. Haven't been to GW in a long time. With my e-mail, keeping up with my old friends, etc and the blog I feel like I'm online lots and lots.
I still don't know how to get around facebook, but I'd love to be friends with you!

Ok I am totally not into these types of pillow cases. My son would be however. My style is defiantly the last picture!

Those pillows are fun! Not something I would use in my country french decor, but fun none the less!

What nice, fun and very immaculate-looking pillowcases. The pic looks so serene and relaxing...just my style these days.

Looking forward for that Austin house tour.

Those are really fun. You could also come over to Fredericksburg and buy the ones that say "LOVE" in pinks or blues at RED!.... and I agree with Mary - do not apologize for not posting. It makes me feel better that someone out there doesn't keep up with posts every day like some others - I always feel inadequate! Always fun to see what someone else in the hill country is doing!

Welcome back...I've missed you. I've read all the way through your blog, it's so great to find someone from the Austin area.

I'm going to leave the social networking sites alone. It's hard enough to keep up with all the wonderful home blogs out there- like yours!

May I have some more please.
