Hooked On...

I've mentioned my friend, Julia's blog, Hooked on Houses, quite a few times. She's hosting a "Hooked On" party this week. We can pick anything we want, as long as we're hooked on it. Well, it's no surprise I'm hooked on Austin's Craigslist. Here are some of this week's best deals...
This prefab hutch is just $35, which is a great price for a piece that could be used on a patio, sunporch or laundry room.

For $150, this china hutch could be yours.

Perhaps you'd prefer this china hutch for just $125.

The preceding two photos are of a French provincial set -- china hutch, table and chairs -- for $300.

This armoire is just $100.

$75 is a great price for this table, especially if you want to turn it into something like Penny from Lavender Hill Studio did.

This neat antique table is just $60.

Perhaps you don't have the mosaic expertise Penny has, so these two preceding tables offer a little lip on the top surface to make your mosaic a little easier. The first table is just $60, and the second table is just $8!

This mid-century table is just $40.

Need a mid-century chair? This one's just $25.

This one's only $15!

This pair of chairs is only $45.

I bought an antique bedroom set through Craigslist shortly after we moved to Austin. Not only is it a gorgeous set for only $325, but it has a wonderful provenance, as well. I have not seen quite that good a deal since then, but this set is pretty neat. For just $400, you can have the full-size bed, tall chest, vanity and bench.

This glass-top table is just $100. I think it'd be wonderful with a black-painted base. It'd make a great outdoor or sunporch table.

Speaking of patios, this set is just $200.
This patio set is only $150.

And if you need an outdoor room, this gazebo is $200. Honestly, I don't know if that's a great price, but ever since I saw what Art did with his outdoor space, I've wanted one of these tented gazebos.

Finally, I'm seeing mirrors similar to this one all over blogland and in decorating magazines these days. This one can be yours for just $40.

And maybe, just maybe, this is my favorite find of the day. This chair is just $50. Don't you just love the fabric? I so don't need any new furniture, but man, if I did. Or if I had a store or a booth somewhere. Sigh...

Finally, one of the reasons I'm hooked on Craigslist is because of the funny ads. Here's the latest one...
have boardwalk, looking for a park place (austin)

alright, I have the boardwalk game peice, and am looking for park place.

given the high number of people on here with it, I'm only offering a 99/1 split.

anyone interested?

Wonder what this guy will pay for a Get Out of Jail Free card?

The last time you posted your Craigslist finds, I decided to go check MY local Craigslist, and didn't find ANY bargains like you did. People want way too much money for their stuff in Albany...lol. So when are you opening your shop, woman? You'd make a killing!

Wow I do love a good bargain Sandra. It's just unfortunate (or as my husband would think) fortunate, that the Pacific Ocean & a $4,000 airfare separates us!

I am sad to say that our Craigslist has not caught up with yours :( However, the last time you posted about furniture, I ended up with a Craiglist puppy! Have a wonderful weekend and give my precious niece and nephew a hug.

Tee-hee-hee, I'll admit, I loved that tent set-up too. Putting the thing back in the box was a chore, so much so that I left it half-in, half-out. Thanks for the mention though! :)
