Old Enfield

This fantastic home is in an older part of Austin called Enfield. It was built in 1915 and sits on over half an acre. In addition to the four bedrooms and three full baths, this stately home comes with a 1 bedroom and 1 bath guest apartment over garage. Grounds include spacious yard, garden area and pool with cabana and pool bath. The home is listed at $3,750,000 with annual taxes at $41,439.

It's hard to tell a lot from these photos, but it looks like the current owners have some pretty antiques. If I won the lottery and decided to buy a different house, I think I'd have to go for something like this. What do you think? Could you move right in?

Yep, I could move right in! Out of all the houses you have posted, this definitely hits the top of the list in my book - what a beauty!

I could move right in! But the taxes...are, like, a down payment on a house!! :-)

Thanks for sharing this peach of a house.

Beautiful home! $41,000? Got to love Texas property taxes...sure, it is on a 3 million dollar home, but still!

Thank you for your comment...you read my mind on the Biltmore basement. That Halloween room totally made an impression on me the first time I saw it when I was 16yo. I have a plan inspired by that for my studio...come see it in a few weeks! :)
