Craigslist Deals

I've bought quite a few things through Austin's Craigslist, and they've all been great deals. Even though I don't really need anything else right now, it's still fun to peruse the listings. Here are some CL deals I found today...
This daybed comes with mattress, trundle and trundle mattress and only costs $150. I think that's a great deal!

Like French country? Inject a little French country into your decor with this pretty armoire for just $110.

Need a bigger armoire? This one's only $250.

I don't know that $150 is a great deal on this bed, but it's not bad for a piece that has some really pretty details.

Now, this piece could use a coat of paint to update it a bit, but at just $60, it's a steal.

Now, this is probably the best find of the day. The description didn't say if this piece is an antique, but at just $100, I don't think it matters. I bought a similar one for $125, which I thought was a steal, and it doesn't have near the extra details this one does.

This set (bed, nightstand and dresser) is just $325. Shoot, at that price, you could certainly decorate a room for $500 or less.

And just like at garage sales or some antique stores, sellers are usually willing to settle for less. See why I'd love to have a booth at an antique mall? One of these days...

Gosh Sandra, just which Craig's List was that? I check the Dallas Ft Worth occasionally and never see anything like that. Good finds and you are right, the prices weren't too shabby either. My hubby is at Canton First Monday - he's been there since Wednesday - and actually I expected him home by now. Have you ever thought of Canton? He does well there.

Devonia, it's the Austin CL. I don't know how it compares with other cities' CL, but Austin's is really great! I have a really nice, entertainment armoire that my husband and I bought for $1400 back in the mid-90's. I found one just like it on Austin's CL for just $100 a few months ago.

I can't commit to Canton. It's just too far. I could do Wimberley's Market Days, but even that wouldn't be as convenient for me as having an antique booth somewhere. I think I'm going to check into that this week. If I just doubled the price I pay for an item, I'll make money, and they'll still be good deals for the people who buy them.

oooh! I wished Austin was just a little closer. What am I thinking!!!!! I just got rid of rooms of furniture - someone stop me! The last time I looked at our local Craigslist for furniture, I came home with a dog :0) Have a great week.

I like them all!

That FC armoire looks like the long lost cousin to my china cab I bought on CL last year!

Holy cow! I would think you could make a killing with a little shop of your own, Sandra! I'd love to join you! Now I have to go check my local Craigslist. I just know there isn't going to be anything THAT good!
